Q. A body starts from rest and travels $120\, cm$ in $6th$ second. The acceleration of the body is

Motion in a Straight Line

Solution:

Using $S_n = u + \frac{1}{2}a(2n - 1)$ , we get
$S_6 = u+ \frac{a}{2} (2 \times 6 - 1) $
i.e. 1.2 = 0 + $\frac{a}{2} (11) i.e. a = 0.218 \, m \, s^{-2}$
