Solution:

$v_{x}=u=20 \, ms^{- 1}$
$v_{y}=v_{u}+gt$
$=0+10\times 5=50 \, ms^{- 1}$
$v=\sqrt{u_{x}^{2} + u_{y}^{2}}$
$=\sqrt{\left(20\right)^{2} + \left(50\right)^{2}}=54ms^{- 1}$
