Q. A ball of mass $150\, g$ starts moving with an acceleration of $20\,m/s^{2}$. When hit by a force, which acts on it for $0.1$ sec the impulsive force (in newton second) is

Laws of Motion

Solution:

Given mass of ball $=150 g \quad$ acceleration $=20 m / s ^{2}$.
To find Impulsive force $=?$
sol We know that $$
\begin{aligned}
\text { Force } &=\operatorname{mars} \times \text { acceluation } \\
F &=m a \\
F &=150 \times 10^{-3} \times 20 \\
F &=3 N
\end{aligned}
$$
$$
\begin{aligned}
\text { Impulse } &=\text { F. } 4 t \\
&=3 \times 0.1=0.3 N . S
\end{aligned}
