When body preforms circular motion, it is acted upon by a centripetal force the magnitude of which is given by
where, m is mass, v the velocity and r the radius.
since $\nu = r\omega$
= $F = mr \omega^2$
Given, m = 0.1 kg, r = 0.5 m,
$\omega $ = 231 rpm = $\frac{2\pi \times 231}{60}rad\,s^{-1}$
= 24.2 rad/s
F = $0.12 \times 0.5 \times (24.2 )^2$ = 35.1 N
