Solution:
Let $CH_4 = x\, L$ and $C_3H_8 = (6 -x)L$
$CH_4 + 2O_2 \to CO_2 + 2H_2O$
$1\, L$ of $CH_4$ gives $= 1L$ of $CO_2$
$x \,L$ of $CH_4$ gives $= xL$ of $CO_2$
$C_3H_8 + 5O_2 \to 3CO_2 + 4H_2O$
$1L$ of $C_3H_8$ gives $= 3L$ of $CO_2$
$(6 - x ) L = 3(6 - x) = (18 - 3x)\, L$ of $CO_2$
Total $CO_2$ produced $= x + 18 - 3x = 7L$
