Anaerobic respiration makes a total of 2 ATP. Aerobic respiration is much more efficient and can produce up to 38 ATP with a single molecule of glucose.
$C _{6} H _{12} O _{6} \longrightarrow 6 CO _{2}+6 H _{2} O +6 O _{2}+38 ATP$
Anaerobic respiration
$C _{6} H _{12} O _{6} \rightarrow 2$ Ethyl alcohol $+2 CO _{2}+2$
$ATP$ (as in yeast)
