Q.
$20\, ml$ of $N/10 \,HCl$, $30\, ml $ of $N/15 \,HNO_{3}$ and $40\, ml$ of $N H_{2}SO_{4}$ are mixed. What will be normality of the resulting solution ?

Solution:
As we know from the law of equivalence that
$N_{1}V_{1}+N_{2}V_{2}+N_{3}V_{3}=N_{R}V_{R}$
$20\times \frac{1}{10}+30\times \frac{1}{15}+40\times1$
$=N_{R}\times90$
$N_{R}=\frac{44}{90}$
