Solution:

$W_{12}=W_{34}=0$
So $W=W_{23}+W_{14}$
$=P_{2}\left(V_{3} - V_{2}\right)+P_{1}\left(V_{1} - V_{4}\right)$
$=nR\left(T_{1} + T_{3} - T_{2} - T_{4}\right)$
$=2\times R\left[\right.40+2400-800+1200\left]\right.$
$=1600\,R$
