Solution:

When two liquids form a non-ideal solution which exhibits a (-) ve deviation from Raoult's law, the volume change on mixing the two components is always negative, i.e., $\Delta V_{m i x} < 0$ . Hence, the volume of solution cannot be equal to or greater than 125 mL, but is slightly less than 125 mL.
