Vegetative propagation is also called asexual reproduction in which plant propagates through vegetative parts. It occurs due to the presence of meristematic tissue in root, stem, and leaves that helps in the development of adventitious roots that make new plants. In some plants, there are fleshy roots that are present which is known as root tuber. These tuber bear buds develop into new plants in moist soil. Example: Asparagus, sweet potato, dahlia, yam, etc.
