Solution:
Insulin is produced by β -cells of islets of Langerhans of pancreas. Liver secretes bile, which is a complex watery fluid containing bile salts (Na taurocholate and Na glycocholate). Excess quantities of glucose are converted into glycogen (glycogenesis) in the presence of insulin in the liver cells and stored there. The liver is the site of detoxification of different toxic substances either produced in the body or taken along with food.
