Solution:
A coenzyme is an organic molecule (often a derivative of a mononucleotide or a dinucleotide) serving as cofactor in an enzyme reaction, but ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is a nucleotide which does not function as a coenzyme. It is called the energy currency of the cell as its’ hydrolysis into ADP or AMP releases enormous energy.
