Solution:
A community of organisms interacting with abiotic component in a particular region/area will be called as ecosystem. The living and non-living components are linked together by the nutrient cycles and energy flow through each trophic level.
Regions or locations defined by critical environmental factors within small spaces contain the micro-ecosystem. Pond is a classic example of microecosystem with limited water volume generally for short duration. These are generally colonized by organisms which are do not live in water continuously and by organisms possessing drought-resistant spores in their life cycle.
