Tropical rain forest (tropical dense forests) occur near the equator where rainfall is abundant and occurs throughout the year. They are found in South and Central America, West and Equatorial Africa, South-East Asia, Indonesia and North-east Australia. The continual combination of warmth and moisture allows continuous plant growth. Temperate rain forests occur along the pacific coast of North America and in New Zealand, Australia and Chile. Their climate is cool and abundant summer rain. Tropical broad-leaved woodlands contain small trees. Their climate is drier and warmth. Temperate shrub land occur around the shores of the mediterranean sea. The annual rainfall is 300-800 mm (low) and the temperature is also low.
