Monocarpic plant is that, which flowers and fruits only once in life. All annuals and biennials are monocarpic. Some perennial plants are also monocarpic, eg. Agave, Bambusa tulda, Melocanna bambusoides. They die after bearing fruits.
In Polygamous condition unisexual (male or female), bisexual and neuter flowers are present on the same plant, eg, Polygonum, mango.
Polycarpic are those perennial plants, which bear fruits every year after attaining maturity, eg, mango, Artabotrys, peepal.
