We have, x→0limxn(cosx−1)(cosx−ex) =x→0lim(x21−cosx)(xn−2ex−cosx) =x→0lim(x21−cosx)(xex−1+1−cosx)xn−31 =x→0lim(x21−cosx){xex−1+x1−cosx}xn−31
We know that x→0limx21−cosx=21,x→0limxex−1=1
and x→0limx1−cosx=0
Therefore, for the above limit to be non-zero, we must have n−3=0 ⇒n=3
