are α and β.
Then, α+β=2−3...(i)
and αβ=21...(ii) ∴α2+β2=(α+β)2−2αβ =(2−3)2−2(21)=49−1=45
and α2β2=(21)2=41 ∴ Required equation is x2−(α2+β2)x+α2β2=0 ⇒x2−45x+41=0 ⇒4x2−5x+1=0
