After reaching ovary, the pollen tube enters in the ovule. For this purpose, pollen tube can follow one of the following three routes Porogamy-Pollen tube enters in the ovule through micropyle. It occurs in mostly angiosperms. Mesogamy-Pollen tube enters through integuments (Cucurbita) or through funiculus (Pistacia). Chalazogamy-Pollen tube enters through chalazal tissues, eg, Casuarina, Beta vulgaris, Pterocarya, Ostrya, Jaglans regia.
