Solution:

Photosynthesis is a process of using light energy to make glucose. The main component helping in making use of light energy is the pigment chlorophyll. This pigment is green in colour, which means it will reflect the green wavelength of the visible spectrum. It will not be active in green light as it cannot use it. Chlorophyll is more active in red and blue light and rate of photosynthesis increases when exposed to such light. In the given arrangement, Z plant will show least speed for photosynthesis due to green light and Y will show the highest speed due to red light. At X, chlorophyll activity will be low due to very low temperature.
