Equivalent resistance between A and B = series combination of 1Ω and 2Ω in parallel with 3Ω resistor. R1=31+31=32 or R=1.5Ω . ∴ Current in the circuits , I=RV=1.51.5=1A
Since the resistance in arm ACB = resistance in arm AB=3Ω , the current divided equally in the two arms. Hence the current through the 3Ω resistor = 2I=0.5A .
