Solution:
The plant begins its life from the zygote. Plasmatic growth is a fundamental characteristic of living beings. Meristematic cells present at the apex that helps in increasing the length of the plant while the secondary meristem is responsible for increasing the girth of the plant. After the meristematic phase, an elongation phase is present in which cells get enlarged and results in new cell wall deposition. The maturation phase is present close to the elongation phase where cells reach a maximum size and protoplasmic modifications occur. Then cells differentiate to perform different functions. In this process, cells lose the ability of division. Later the senescence (death) of the cell occurs due to some environmental factors like drought or changing of the season.
