Solution:

All the activities occuring in the digestive tract are in proper co-ordination with each other. This is because they are under the control of neural and hormonal regulation.
At the very first site/smell or taste of food, salivary secretion begins in the mouth. At the same time, some amount of gastric juice is secreted by the stomach. This is called as the cephalic phase.
When food enters the stomach, it strikes against the fundus of the stomach. This causes secretion of gastric juices. The peristaltic movements gets initiated, which ultimately cause the release of gastrin. This is called the gastric phase.
As food enters the small intestine, the process of digestion is managed by various enzymes secreted by liver and pancreas.
