Solution:

Lymph is blood without RBCs. Plasma without the clotting factors is serum. The universal donor is O negative because it does not have Rh antigen which is present in an O positive individual. This Rh antigen can induce an immune response. Hence, O negative (not O positive) is a universal donor.
