Vasectomy is a permanent method of birth control. It is a method of sterilization done in males. It is a surgical procedure in which a small part of the vas deferens is either removed or tied up through an incision in the scrotum. This blocks the transportation of sperms. Thus, the semen which is produced contains no sperms.
Oral contraceptive pills, insertion of IUD and use of condoms are all temporary methods of contraception.
