A thick, whitish band of semi-circular nerve fibres, called corpus callosum, is found bulging upon the inner surface of the dorsal wall of each cerebral hemisphere. These bands only occur in mammals by interconnecting with each other, these bands connect the two cerebral hemispheres. The lateral part of each band formed the roof of the lateral ventricle of the side.
