Egg cells are a type of gametes that participates in the process of sexual reproduction. These cells are known to have half the chromosome content compared to other somatic cells. These cells are formed by undergoing meiotic divisions which reduce the chromosome set from diploid to haploid. Since, the diploid cell of the horse if having 64 chromosomes, then its egg cell (gametic cell) will have half that is 32 chromosome.
