In chloroplast, chlorophyll is present in thylakoids. These are flattened vesicles structure arranged as a membranous within the stroma. Nearly 50% of chloroplast proteins and various component involved (namely chlorophyll, carotenoids and plastoquinone) are present in thylakoid membranes and are involved in photosynthesis.
