Solution:
Gametes are produced via meiotic cell division process. Each microspore mother cell of sporogenous tissue of microsporangium divides mitotically to produce 4 pollen grains. Each pollen grain contains two cells, generative cell and vegetative cell. The generative cell divides to form two male gametes. Thus, each meiotic division of microspore mother cell produces 8 male gametes.
For producing 104 male gametes, 13 meiotic divisions are required.
