Solution:

If an interphase cell has 22 chromosomes than the cell at G1 has 22 chromosomes. In S phase on duplication of DNA occurs but chromosome number remains unchanged, thus cell at S phase will also have 22 chromosomes. After the M - phase or mitosis phase equal division occurs and two identical cells are produced having 22 chromosomes each.
