Hind III is a restriction endonuclease enzyme isolated from the bacteria Haemophilus influenzae Rd. It is used in biotechnological processes as a 'molecular cutter'. It can cut various RE sites in DNA to cut it into fragments of appropriate lengths (digestion of DNA).
The RE site of Hind III is: 5′−A↓AGCTT−3′3′−TTGCA↑A−5′
