Gymnosperm is a major class of seed bearing vascular plants, with seeds not enclosed in an ovary wall and with pollen deposited directly on the ovule. Each embryo has several cotyledons. Conifers are most familiar group including cycadophyta, ginkgophyta and gnetophyta.
