Solution:
Thrombokinase or thromboplastin is an enzyme which is a mixture of phospholipid and the tissue factor found in the plasma. It is released from the blood platelets and helps in the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin when the process of clotting begins. Fibrin is formed from fibrinogen during the process of coagulation. Heparin is antagonistic to fibrin and thrombokinase and acts as an anticoagulant.
