Galactans is the odd one out with respect to the composition of plant cell wall. Galactans are present in the algal cell wall. The algal cell wall is made up of cellulose, galactans, mannans and minerals like calcium carbonate. On the other hand plant cell wall consists of cellulose, hemicellulose, pectins and proteins.
