At anaphase cytokinesis (cell division) begins only at initial stage, but it fully occurs at telophase. Anaphase stage is very rapid, during this centromeres spilt into two and the spindle fibres pull the daughter centromeres to opposite poles. The separated chromatids are pulled along behind the centromeres.
