Theory of survival of fittest by Darwin is widely misunderstood. According to theory, organism which is more fit reproductively had better chance of survival in comparison to other organisations. It doesn't stat that organism which is fittest will always survive if the changes occurs rapidly then reproductive fitness will hold very less value in survival. And if the changes occurs so fast, so the organism which are said to fit will find it hard to accommodate new condition and mating will not happens so easily and hence can die out.
