Given,
edge of solid copper cube, l=7cm
hydraulic pressure, p=8000kPa=8000×103Pa
and Bulk modulus of copper, β=140GPa =140×109Pa
As we know that,
Bulk modulus, β=(VΔV)p
or β=ΔVpV ∴ΔV=βpV=140×1098000×103×(l)3 =140×1098000×103×(7)3 =19.6×10−3cm3
