Camillo Golgi first explained Golgi apparatus. These are of various shape like flat, disc shaped sacs or cisternae. The golgi bodies are arranged with covex cis which is the forming face and concave trans which is the maturing face. The cis and trans are interconnected with each other. Large number of proteins made by the ribosomes get modified in Cisternae of golgi apparatus.
