Q.
A brick of mass 2kg slides down an incline of height 5m and angle 30∘. If the coefficient of friction of the incline is 231 , the velocity of the block at the bottom of the incline is (Assume the acceleration due to gravity is 10m/s2)
a=g(sinθ−μcosθ)
Given, mass of brick m=2kg,
height of plane H=5m,θ=30∘ and
coefficient of friction μ=231. ∴a=g(sin30∘−231cos30∘) ⇒a=10[21−41]=2.5m/s2
Length of inclined plane x=Hsinθ=5×sin30∘=10m
From 3rd equation of motion v2−u2=2as ⇒v=2as ⇒v=2×25×10=50=7.07
